Professional Statement of Purpose

I am defined by an unyielding pursuit of knowledge, a passion for creativity, and the application of my diverse skill set to a wide range of projects. From my early fascination with programming to a distinguished career in the Air Force, my path has led me to web development, a thriving presence in mechanical engineering, and a steadfast passion for video game development and 3D modeling.

My passion for programming ignited in my childhood, delving into the intricacies of the BASIC language on my first computer during the 1990s. This innate drive for technology fueled my exceptional career in the Air Force, where I skillfully used the Abbreviated Test Language for All Systems (ATLAS) to test and repair avionics equipment. This dedication was honored with the United States Air Force Maintenance Professional of the Year award for the Pacific region.

Driven by creative fervor, I transitioned into web and web-based application development, becoming proficient in a spectrum of scripting and programming languages. My clients included a diverse array, from an exotic reptile breeder and importer to a national contractor’s association and the Hillsborough County Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) and High-Risk Tactical Training School.

My commitment to expanding my horizons led me to Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Information Technologies with a concentration in game design and development. During this academic journey, I honed my problem-solving skills, fine-tuned my coding proficiency, and delved into software system engineering principles, object-oriented design, and computer-assisted engineering (CASE) technology. My mastery of unified modeling language (UML), various development methodologies, and project documentation further solidified my capabilities.

As my SNHU chapter came to a close, I transitioned into the field of mechanical engineering. In my current role, I meticulously design intricate 3D models for medical device parts using Autodesk Fusion 360 and Autodesk Inventor, showcasing my adaptability and capacity to embrace new challenges.

Outside my professional life, my enduring passion and hobby revolve around video game development in Unreal Engine and crafting 3D models for in-game props in Maya. These activities reflect my unwavering dedication to creativity and innovation.

Reflecting on my multifaceted journey, I’ve evolved into a well-rounded professional with a diverse skill set. My proficiency in industry-standard software, including game engine integrated development environment tools like Unreal Engine, and 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Fusion 360, and Autodesk Inventor, demonstrates my capacity to tackle a wide range of creative and technical challenges.
