About Me
Driven by creativity and a relentless sense of curiosity, my life journey has been one of continuous growth and exploration. While living in Japan, I found myself captivated by the world of cave diving and embarked on thrilling hikes through the breathtaking landscapes of Towada-Hachimantai National Park. My tenure as an avionics technician with the Air Force in Japan led to a distinct achievement – the prestigious United States Air Force Maintenance Professional of the Year award for the Pacific region.
- Graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science Information Technologies degree
- Graduated summa cum laude with a 3.95 grade point average
- United States Air Force Maintenance Professional of the Year for the pacific region (PACAF)
- Received a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance while serving in the USAF
Upon returning to the United States, I embarked on a versatile career as a freelancer in web design, working on a diverse range of projects. These included crafting websites, databases, and web-based applications for a variety of clients, from an exotic reptile breeder and importer to a national contractor’s association and the Hillsborough County Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) and High-Risk Tactical Training School.
Fueled by an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a fervor for creativity, I enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). Pursuing a degree in Information Technology with an elective concentration in interactive entertainment design and development, I immersed myself in courses spanning software development, database engineering, network architecture, cybersecurity, web design, and game design. My commitment to excellence was evident through a notable 3.95-grade point average (GPA).
Throughout my academic journey, I effectively harnessed my prior experiences, academic insights, and creative talents to explore the realm of software design. I honed my skills in various industry-standard integrated development environment tools and excelled in 3D modeling software, with a particular focus on Autodesk Maya. This proficiency enabled me to create intricate and visually captivating 3D models. Furthermore, I adeptly wielded a range of software tools, including Unreal Engine, Adobe Substance Painter, Quixel Mixer, and Blender, enhancing both my creative prowess and technical expertise.
The apex of my academic voyage transpired in the winter of 2020 when I graduated summa cum laude from Southern New Hampshire University, armed with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technologies degree. My journey exemplifies my unwavering commitment to innovation, creativity, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
Interests and Hobbies
In my leisure time, I find joy in building bat boxes and birdhouses. Bats, often misconceived, contribute significantly to the environment similar to birds through pollination, seed dispersal, and controlling insect pests. Providing these creatures with a cozy dwelling is a way to show my appreciation.
During my tenure as a web designer for an exotic animal breeder and importer, my fascination with exotic creatures grew. I even shared my home with a monocled cobra (Naja Kaouthia) for several years. While indeed venomous, our interactions were far from playful.
A self-proclaimed dog enthusiast, I relish spending time at the beach with my loyal companion, Bailey—a spirited Boston Terrier who never fails to brighten my days.
